KEVIN WINDROSS ?STANDING OUTSIDE CIRCLES?
The sound of awesome guitar is alive and well with the release of Kevin Windross' latest album "Standing Outside Circles". The release showcases the amazing guitar work and incredible melodies of this home-grown Aussie guitarist. Co-produced, engineered and mixed/mastered by Henning Pauly from Germany, (Sebastian Bach, James LaBrie) this independent release is truly world-class entertainment.
Kevin started life as a country boy in a the small NSW town of Canowindra. The son of a farmer, he grew up on legends like Johnny Cash, Slim Dusty and Glen Campbell. A move to the big smoke coincided with a broadening of his musical influences to include blues, jazz, fusion and melodic rock. He also discovered some natural talent for the guitar and so began his journey as a guitarist and a musician...
Since these humble beginnings Kevin has invested many hours in developing his incredible skills. He has toured many parts of Australia, including a road trip through Queensland with Phil Emmanuel, jammed with Frank Gambale, toured SE Asia with Early Warning System and a solo spot at Japan Music Week Festival in Tokyo. He has had one of his tracks featured in Australian Guitar Magazine and has artist endorsements with Laboga Amplifiers, Berketa Guitars and Puretone Strings.
REVIEWS AND COMMENTS
?Standing Outside Circles is an instrumental album which showcases quality musicianship and brilliant songwriting. This album shows influences of top-notch guitarists such as Joe Satriani and John Petrucci but it remains stylishly individual. It doesn't sit easily in any stereotypical box and is a refreshingly original take on the melodic rock genre. It will certainly appeal to a wide range of ages and audiences.?
