Village Kid was created in 2009 by a group of 5 Perth musicians, who shared the vision of creating an Australian alternative rock band, capable of writing and performaning at an international standard, while incorporating elements from many contrasting genres such as funk, rock, and classical.
The diverse musical backgrounds of band members has played a vital role in Village Kid?s distinctive sound, incorporating string and brass orchestrations, contemporary chord progressions, modern rock and funk grooves, and soulful, emotive vocals.
